On your local network
Open the local viewer and controls from a supported browser at the site. Review permitted cameras and locally stored footage.
Local accessHOW BLACKSIGHT WORKS
Your cameras see the activity. Local appliances process it. Your team gets the context to act, wherever they work.
Planned architecture. Hardware, capacity and integrations are being evaluated.

ONE CONNECTED SYSTEM
Processing, retention and viewing are separate choices. Grow the part of the system your site needs.
BlackSight cameras and supported existing cameras connect through your site network.
Camera optionsOn-site appliances handle streams and planned AI analysis. A site controller coordinates the setup.
On-site intelligenceChoose retention separately from compute: local storage, optional cloud storage, or both.
Storage choicesReview live video, recordings and events through planned local or remote browser access and mobile apps.
Ways to connectThe on-site system connects to authorized camera streams. Cameras do not need built-in AI or a manufacturer cloud subscription for the intended local workflow; compatibility must be verified by model.
START SMALL. ADD WHAT YOU NEED.
In a single-appliance installation, that device is also the site controller. Add processing devices as the workload grows, with one controller coordinating camera assignments and storage.
A larger installation may use a dedicated controller. Camera capacity per appliance and the point at which a separate controller makes sense will be based on testing, not a fixed promise.
Explore multiple appliancesYOUR RECORDINGS, YOUR RETENTION PLAN
Explore the intended options. Recording storage grows independently of the appliance running the AI.
Local storage is the baseline. Cloud and hybrid retention remain optional roadmap proposals.
Use a compatible local storage device for the recording archive. Add capacity around the number of cameras, their bitrate and the history you want to retain.
Local recording is not an off-site backup. Consider how you would protect important clips if equipment is damaged or stolen.
ONE EXPERIENCE, WHEREVER YOU WORK
Planned viewers share the same site and camera permissions. Remote access is an access choice, separate from where recordings are stored.
Open the local viewer and controls from a supported browser at the site. Review permitted cameras and locally stored footage.
Local accessUse the planned remote dashboard to work across locations. Remote viewing requires connectivity even when the recordings stay on site.
Optional remote accessPlanned mobile apps bring event review, live views and playback to authorized users away from their desks.

No. The intended architecture performs AI on the local appliance. Camera selection focuses on image quality, reliable streams and supported interfaces.
Local recording and supported local processing are intended to continue while cameras, the network, appliance and storage remain powered and available. Remote access, uploads and cloud-dependent functions may stop. Outage and recovery behavior still need validation.
We have not published a validated limit. Capacity depends on stream settings, hardware, models and analysis frequency. We will test representative workloads before offering a supported configuration.
No, they are separate parts of the planned architecture. The remote viewer is intended to reach authorized live views and on-site recordings through a secured connection. Cloud retention is an additional option under evaluation.
Our initial approach is through dealers and installers. Your installer plans coverage, networking, power, appliance capacity and storage. BlackSight is developing the platform and qualified hardware offering.
